Suzy French is an Aus­tralian artist who cre­ates mod­ern land­scape art­work on both can­vas and aluminium.

Suzy is pas­sion­ate about the land­scape that has been the back­drop to her for­tu­nate life. Hav­ing lived across the Kim­ber­ley for close to 30 years, her jour­ney with this coun­try has been the inspi­ra­tion for the work she cre­ates. She holds a strong belief that the nat­ur­al envi­ron­ment has much to offer us as we go about our fast paced life.

Suzy has been paint­ing with oils for many years. A ded­i­cat­ed artist, she has had 6 high­ly suc­cess­ful solo exhi­bi­tions, and numer­ous col­lab­o­ra­tive shows. Her work is held in col­lec­tions through-out the coun­try and overseas.

The devel­op­ment of the process to cre­ate art­work on alu­mini­um pan­els has been a major break though in her art prac­tice. This is a tech­nique rarely seen in Aus­tralia, it has giv­en her work a point of dif­fer­ence and a more con­tem­po­rary edge. Total­ly archival, it will nev­er warp with the weath­er, and can be used in an out­door liv­ing space.

Suzy works out of her Broome based Stu­dio Gallery and is rep­re­sent­ed by Gallery’s in both West­ern Aus­tralia and Vic­to­ria.
