At Broome Convention Centre Chinatown
The story of the Karajarri Life Cycle, known as Yatangal, this powerful show features traditional and contemporary music, dance and storytelling amidst a background of visual effects and theatrics with full sound and lighting showcase. Told through the eyes of Karajarri man and fluent language speaker, Mervyn Mulardy, Yatangal is a journey celebrating traditional language and culture, discovering the disruption of colonisation, then finally a new Dreaming; living in two worlds, with a sense of optimism for the future.
Audiences will gain an insight into one of the many diverse and ancient Aboriginal tribes, the Karajarri people.
The show is a stage musical theatre piece that gives everyone a taste into the Karajarri people's traditional song and dance in Karajarri language.
