Guided Ground Tours depart from Bellburn Airstrip within Purnululu National Park.
Tours departing from Kununurra include a return scenic flight with Aviair. All aircraft have high wings, large windows, pilot commentary, and most importantly each aircraft is air-conditioned. Aviair have the youngest fleet of aircraft in Kununurra
and safety is a priority. You will start your tour with a once in a lifetime scenic flight with views of the magnificent Ord River, the vastness of Lake Argyle, Lissadell and Texas Downs Stations, the rugged Osmand Ranges and a picturesque circuit over the Bungle Bungle Range. Your return flight to Kununurra provides aerial views of the Argyle Diamond Mine, Ragged and Carr Boyd Ranges.
Overnight dinner, bed and breakfast package at Bungle Bungle Savannah Lodge — eco-accommodation with a private ensuite. Equipped with a licensed bar, the only swimming pool in the national park and chef-prepared meals using fresh local ingredients infused with native herbs and spices.
For booking purposes - CHILD AGE / INFANT POLICY | Infants are classified as 0-2 years and may travel free of charge. Please note that a limited number of infants can travel per aircraft and must be seated on their parent’s lap. Children are classified as 3-12 years of age inclusive and must be accompanied by an adult on tours.

For a different view of the Bungle Bungle, this tour will take you through Echidna Chasm and the northern end of Purnululu National Park. This tour begins with a 45 – 60 minute drive heading north along the western side of the Bungle Bungle Range. Once arriving, you will follow your local guide along a rocky path nestled between cliffs into Echidna Chasm. At points, this path can narrow to a width of less than 1.5 metres. On either side of you, towering walls of orange stone scattered with Livistona palm trees will reach skywards, seeming as though they are lit from within. As this walk requires a significant amount of climbing over boulders and navigating ladders, we advise that this tour be embarked upon by those with full mobility. This tour also presents the opportunity to visit nearby walking trails at the northern end of the Park. The walking component of this tour is approximately 3 hours long. Whilst out and about in the beautiful Park, enjoy a tasty picnic lunch. Meet your local tour guide in the shaded picnic area at Bellburn Airstrip — Purnululu National Park. The tour begins with approx. 25-minute drive to the start of the walk. Walking through the stunning Bungle Bungle Domes, you will see the famous orange banded beehive structures, often beautifully contrasted by vivid blue sky. You will then follow your guide to Cathedral Gorge, where you will be surrounded by impressive towering cliffs, and experience the phenomenal natural acoustics of the Gorge. After your fresh picnic lunch, you will head to the northern end of Purnululu National Park to venture into Echidna Chasm, this is a drive of around 45 – 60 minutes. The trek into the Chasm sees you weave between cliffs on a path that at points, narrows to around 1.5 metres in width. We recommend this tour to those with full mobility, as the 1.5‑hour walking component of the Echidna Chasm adventure requires walkers to climb over boulders and navigate ladders with handrails. Start your day of unique adventuring at the HeliSpirit Office — Purnululu National Park where you will meet your guide. After a short briefing, you will board a helicopter which will take you over stunning views toward the south west end of Purnululu National Park. Once reaching Y Gorge, you will soar across the top of the enormous massif to your landing place, at the beautiful Piccaninny Gorge entrance. From here, you will be led on a challenging, yet highly scenic 10km hike up the rocky creek bed of the Gorge. At points, this hike sees you and your guide creating your own path, as this is an infrequently visited area of the Park. After exploring, your return helicopter flight will continue along the southern face and will allow views of the mouth of Cathedral Gorge, as well as the famous orange and black beehive shaped domes. We recommend that this hike be taken by those with a high level of fitness and full mobility. INCLUSIONS: Experienced pilot & professional commentary. Once you reach the Gorge, you can enjoy your tasty picnic lunch whilst taking in the jaw dropping natural acoustics, and towering cliffs which surround you. 8 days to 14 days prior to departure: 50% of booking will be retained
15 days to 30 days prior to departure: 20% of booking will be retained

COVID POLICY
Our Standard cancellation policy remains in place however if guests are unable to travel due to Government border closures or travel restrictions that restrict the client from entering the Kimberley at the time of travel we will offer to amend the travel dates (at rate booked) or cancel without fee.
We strongly recommend that all customers take out travel insurance. In the event of a tour being cancelled by us customers will be entitled to a full refund without penalty.
CHILD AGE / INFANT POLICY | Infants are classified as 0-2 years and may travel free of charge. Please note that a limited number of infants can travel per aircraft and must be seated on their parent’s lap. Children are classified as 3-12 years of age inclusive and must be accompanied by an adult on tours. Child car-seats are not provided on the tour bus.
PAYMENT CONDITIONS | To confirm your reservation full payment must be made unless you have an existing account with us. All existing accounts are strictly 14 days. Payment can be made via credit card bank deposit or cash. AMEX cards will attract a 2% surcharge.
MINIMUM NUMBERS | A minimum of 2 passengers or the equivalent cost is required to confirm a tour booking unless the tour is already confirmed to run. Please call our reservations team to check availability for one passenger. All overnight accommodation package rates are Twin Share Single Supplement prices are available.
CHECK IN TIME | Passengers must be at the tour departure point 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.
PICK UP/ DROP OFF | Complimentary pick up/drop-offs are available for Brochure Scenic Flights/Tours which depart Kununurra with Aviair. Pick up will be 45 minutes prior to flight departure and available from all Hotels Motels and Caravan Parks within Kununurra Township. Please advise at the time of booking if you require a pickup or call Aviair office directly on (08) 9166 9300 no later than 3pm the day prior to departure.
COMMENTARY | All scenic flights and tours include personalised commentary by the pilot/tour guide. All tours and safety briefings are conducted in English.
FITNESS LEVEL AND MEDICAL CONDITIONS | Please advise us no later than the day prior to departure if you have any medical conditions which may affect you completing the guided walks.
Please make yourself aware of the fitness levels required to complete the walks this is available on our website www.bbgt.com.au under each tour option.
The tour guide on the day has the right to refuse a passenger to join the guided walk if they do not deem them fit and able to do the selected walk. Please call our reservation staff to discuss fitness levels and walk difficulties if you have any concerns.
SEAT WEIGHT LIMIT | The maximum seat weight limit on the Robinson R44 & R66 helicopter is 136kg. The maximum seat weight limit on the GA8 Airvan is 132kg. Please check with Reservations which aircraft is running on the day of the tour.
CUSTOMER WEIGHT | Customer and approximate hand baggage weights must be provided to us at the time of booking. All customers and baggage will be weighed prior to tour departure for safety and operational reasons. The airline reserves the right to deny carriage to customers who provide weight information that is inaccurate by more than 15% in which case any fare paid will be forfeit.
VALIDITY OF RATES | Prices quoted are subject to change. All prices are in Australian dollars ($AUD). Tours paid for in full are protected from price increases. In the event of Bungle Bungle Guided Tours introducing a special offer or rates that are discounted against the adult fare retrospective refunds will not be permitted.
DISABLED PASSENGERS | Please advise the level of assistance required with a minimum of 48 hours prior to departure time. Staff are not permitted to lift any passengers.
PERSONAL ITEMS | All care is taken but no liability is accepted for damage to personal items. Prior to leaving the bus plane or cabin customers should ensure they have all personal belongings with them. For lost property enquiries please contact our head office in Kununurra on (08) 9168 2213.
CAMERAS - HELICOPTER FLIGHTS | Cameras and phones must have a lanyard/wrist strap. Tablets and iPads are not permitted onboard.

ITINERARIES | Whilst it is our intention to deliver the itinerary of your choice unforeseen circumstances such as the nature of the terrain unseasonable weather national park area closures and so on travelling conditions may be affected and therefore make it necessary to alter touring with little or no notice.
FUEL SURCHARGE | In the event of significant upward movement in the cost of aviation fuel we reserve the right to introduce a fuel surcharge. This shall be advised in writing no less than two months prior to its commencement and will be additionally advised at the time of booking confirmation.
CUSTOMER INFORMATION & PRIVACY | We require customer information for all reservations that we accept including full passenger name passenger weight contact telephone number and email address. Passenger information will be retained by us in accordance with our Privacy Policy which may be viewed on our Privacy Policy page on our website. We require passenger contact information to allow us to make contact with passengers in the event of occurrences including but not limited to adverse weather conditions on the rare occasion that a tour time may be rescheduled or in the event that personal property has been left behind after a tour.
