Australia Day Breakfast and Citizenship Ceremony

The Broome community is invited to celebrate Australia Day 2026 at Town Beach from 8am - 10am on Monday 26th January 2026. Organised in partnership between the Shire of Broome, Lions Club and other local service providers, the event is a celebration of the Broome community. The Lions Club will be putting on a breakfast, starting at 8am, while there will be fun and entertainment for all the family – including free train rides for the kids.

The event will feature the annual Citizenship Ceremony, where we warmly welcome our new Australian citizens. We’ll also be announcing the Auspire Community Citizen of the Year Awards, recognising the amazing individuals who make Broome such a vibrant and inspiring place to live.
