Dan͟ggu Geikie Gorge
The main highlight is the Danggu National Park, located 20 kms away and accessible by road. The gorge features steep walls where the river has cut through the Danggu Geike Range, exposing a fine section of the Devonian Reef. The road is sealed all the way from Fitzroy Crossing. Danggu National Park will open for DAY VISITS AND VIEWING ONLY with basic facilities, a carpark and toilets available. Please be aware that no swimming is permitted due to submerged hazards. Visitors can still enjoy the area via a short walk along the sandy riverbank, which offers beautiful views across the gorge and provides a lovely way to experience the landscape.
