Day 1. Kununurra, Purnululu National Park Be met in Kununurra by your APT Driver-Guide and depart for the Bungle Bungle Range. After boarding a purpose-built 20 seat 4WD vehicle, head south on the Great Northern Highway stopping along the way for lunch. Visit a local Indigenous community (when available) then continue to Purnululu National Park, getting your first glimpse of the impressive Bungle Bungle Range, arriving at the exclusive Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge. This evening a delicious three course open-air dinner awaits. Two Nights, Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge Lunch/Dinner Day 2. Purnululu National Park, Cathedral Gorge, Piccaninny Creek After breakfast head to the southern end of Purnululu National Park. Walk along the dry riverbed of Piccaninny Creek for a closer inspection of the striped beehive domes arriving at The Window, a natural hole in the ancient rock formation. Marvel at the majesty of Cathedral Gorge and test out the acoustics of this natural amphitheatre. Perhaps take a helicopter sightseeing flight over the Bungle Bungle Range (own expense). Enjoy an impressive Kimberley sunset with drinks in hand, overlooking the Bungle Bungle escarpment as the colours of sandstone deepen to red. Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner Day 3. Purnululu National Park, Osmand Lookout, Echidna Chasm Today, embark on an in-depth exploration of the northern section of the Bungle Bungle Range. Begin with a short walk to Osmand Lookout for spectacular views over the Osmand Range and surrounding landscape. Next, follow a dry creek bed to reveal the unique Echidna Chasm. Venture deep into this natural cleft in the rock, which in places is over 200 metres deep yet barely wide enough to pass through. Join a hike along a Livistona palm-fringed trail to see the spectacular natural wonder of Mini Palms. Walk along the dry creek bed for an unforgettable view into a subterranean oasis where hundreds of ancient palm species are surrounded by towering cliffs. Travel back to Kununurra, where your unforgettable Kimberley adventure concludes today. Kununurra, Purnululu National Park Departing Kununurra, fly over Lake Argyle, the largest artificial lake in the Southern Hemisphere. Marvel at the Bungle Bungle Range as you get closer to the remote airstrip at Purnululu National Park. On arrival, your APT local guide will transfer you to the exclusive Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge located within the National Park. Enjoy an impressive Kimberley sunset with drinks in hand, overlooking the Bungle Bungle escarpment as the colours of sandstone deepen to red. Three Nights, Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge Lunch/Dinner Day 2. Purnululu National Park, Echidna Chasm, Mini Palms Today you will explore the northern section of Purnululu National Park. Follow a dry creek bed to reveal the Livistona palm-fringed Echidna Chasm. Next you will tackle The Escarpment, a trail that skirts the edge of the Bungle Bungle massif before joining the Mini Palms track. Purnululu National Park, Piccaninny Creek, Cathedral Gorge After breakfast head to the southern end of Purnululu National Park. Broome, Boab Prison Tree, Tunnel Creek, Windjana Gorge.
Depart Broome to begin your exploration of the awe-inspiring Kimberley region. Journey on the Gibb River Road, a remote Outback highway that accesses some of the Kimberleys best scenery. At Windjana Gorge, where sheer cliffs tower above white sands, see the ancient marine fossils embedded in the gorge walls. You may also see freshwater crocodiles lazing on the banks of the Lennard River, which runs through the gorge. We travel to remarkable Tunnel Creek, a 750 metre-long natural tunnel carved through the Napier Range. With torch in hand, we wade through the cool waters to view the wonderful oasis that awaits us on the other side. Continue to Fitzroy Crossing. Stay: Fitzroy River Lodge, Fitzroy Crossing. Lx1 Dx1
Day 2. Geikie Gorge Cruise, China Wall, Halls Creek.
Enjoy the morning exploring Geikie Gorge, where annual flooding has created a bleached effect on the sandstone walls. Our unique cruise is guided by a traditional Bunuba landowner. Following the cruise travel the Great Northern Highway to the historic gold mining town of Halls Creek. See the unusual China Wall, formed out of quartz. Day 3.
Purnululu National Park, Echidna Chasm, Bungle Bungle Range.
Depart Halls Creek and head for Purnululu National Park. Our journey takes us onto the Spring Creek 4WD track. Hike into Echidna Chasm, a spectacular cleft in the rock massif. Enjoy the unique wilderness experience of staying within the national park without having to rough it. Two Night Stay: EXCLUSIVE! Day 4.
Cathedral Gorge, Beehive Domes. Hike into Piccaninny Creek and spectacular Cathedral Gorge. Walk among the beehive domes, as your guide brings the natural history of the range to life. Learn of bushtucker, bush medicine and the areas significance to local Aboriginals. Theres time for an optional helicopter flight (own expense). Enjoy drinks and watch the sun set over the domes. Day 5.

After a day’s exploration of the Bungle Bungle Range, enjoy drinks as the sun sets over its striking beehive domes Day 1. Arrive Broome, Gibb River Road, Windjana Gorge, Tunnel Creek Depart early from Broome today and visit the fascinating Boab Prison Tree. Continue your journey along the Gibb River Road, a remote 660-kilometre outback highway stretching between Broome and Kununurra. The ‘Gibb’ traverses the wild heart of the Kimberley, passing spectacular savannah landscapes. Continue on to Windjana Gorge, where sheer cliffs tower above glistening white sands. Admire the ancient marine fossils embedded in the gorge walls and scour the banks for freshwater crocodiles. Turn off to explore Tunnel Creek, a 750-metre-long natural tunnel carved through the Napier Range. With torch in hand, wade through the cool waters that fill the tunnel and emerge on the other side to the sight of a tranquil and stunning oasis. The park is home to the famed black and orange beehive striped domes, ascending to 578 metres above sea level. It is an imposing sight and one that you are sure to remember forever. Take a captivating hike to Echidna Chasm, a spectacular natural cleft in the rock. Join a hike along a Livistona palm-fringed trail to see the spectacular natural wonder of Mini Palms. Walk along the rocky, dry creek beds for an unforgettable view into a subterranean oasis where hundreds of ancient palm species are surrounded by towering cliffs.

Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner Day 6. Geikie Gorge, Depart Broome Travel to Danggu Geikie Gorge National Park and explore magnificent Geikie Gorge. Flooding of the river has bleached the walls white over time, an intriguing sight that makes it popular with photographers. Board a unique cruise along the stunning gorge and learn more about the beautiful flora and fauna of this spectacular region. Later this afternoon return to Broome, where your fantastic journey draws to a conclusion.

Travelling via Warmun (Turkey Creek), head east down the Spring Creek Track, which leads into the national park. On arrival, join a hike along a Livistona palm-fringed trail regarded as one of the best in Australia, Echidna Chasm, a spectacular cleft in the rock massif. From here, continue to our exclusive Bungle Bungle Wilderness Lodge, in Purnululu National Park for dinner. Two Night Stay: EXCLUSIVE! Bungle Bungle Range, Cathedral Gorge, Piccaninny Creek, Beehive Domes, Sunset Drinks. Explore the majestic natural amphitheatre of Cathedral Gorge and take an easy-paced walk along the dry bed of Piccaninny Creek, winding among the high walls of the Bungle Bungle domes. Your well-informed guide will bring the natural history of the Bungle Bungle Range to life. There is time for an optional helicopter flight over the domes (own expense). Travel back to Kununurra then journey to the incredible El Questro Wilderness Park. Later, delight in a sumptuous dinner at your resort. Emma Gorge, Home Valley Station Head to the beautiful Zebedee Springs, a permanent natural thermal spring tucked away in a secluded pocket of rainforest. Afterwards hike to Emma Gorge, where you can indulge in a refreshing swim beneath the towering droplet waterfall. Cross the Pentecost River into Home Valley Station, an immense cattle property. Manning Gorge, Galvans Gorge, Gibb River Road At beautiful Manning Gorge, you’ll enjoy lunch in the shade of boab trees. Derby, Depart Broome Travel into the Wilinggin King Leopold Range Conservation Park, then travel along the Gibb River Road to Derby, where you will visit the Mowanjum Art and Culture Centre. Later in the afternoon, return to Broome, where your journey draws to a conclusion. Fares Booking Confirmations
A 10% deposit per person per tour is required with 7 days of booking confirmation. Deposit requirements may vary when booking a special offer air or rail components.
Final payment of the balance is due 100 days prior to departure for escorted touring product and 61 days prior for independent air tours. If booking within these time frames full payment will be required at the time of booking.
Fares quoted are in Australian currency and supersede all prices previously advertised. Stated duration counts day of departure and day of return. Twin share prices are per person unless otherwise stated. APT reserves the rightto cancel any ticket or booking or to refuse to carry any passenger where payment has not been received within the specified time. Prices include GST.
Discounts: Past passenger discounts may be combined with some other discounts. Please ask at the time of booking for more details. Group concessions for 10 or more adults are available on application. Children under 15: When sharing with one adult discount is 20% off adult fare. Children under 12 years of age are not recommended to participate in tours. Children under 18 years must be accompanied by an adult and share their accommodation with an adult.
