We have two 5m X 2.5m pon­toons equipped with a 20hp motor, gas barbecue,toilet and is licensed to car­ry 10 pas­sen­gers.
These pon­toons are fan­tas­tic val­ue for groups of fam­i­lies and friends, are child and pet friend­ly with a ful­ly enclosed cage and lock­able gate and with loads of room to enjoy an after­noon BBQ or relax­ing pad­dle in the lake with our sup­plied pool noo­dles. For a small fee, we can also sup­ply an Esky with ice and cook­ing uten­sils. And for the extra com­fort, a small toi­let can be found on board.
Greg and his team have over 20 years of expe­ri­ence on the lake and will be more than hap­py to advise on the best spots to see wildlife and cast a line.

Take a gan­der through the binoc­u­lars (pro­vid­ed by us, but your wel­come to bring your own) for an up-close look at the many dif­fer­ent species of birds and oth­er wildlife includ­ing wal­la­bies and crocodiles.

We’ll stop on a remote island to fos­sick for the intrigu­ing Zebra Rock. Unique to Lake Argyle, this rock is allur­ing with its per­fect stripes and spots that can appear to be paint­ed on. We’ll cruise past the sub­merged site of ​‘Argyle Downs’, the Durack Family’s Home­stead, while lis­ten­ing to sto­ries about the pio­neer­ing fam­i­lies and how they began the pas­toral indus­try in the East­ern Kimberley.

We’ll enjoy the chang­ing colours reflect­ing across the lake near Mon­s­mont Island, the best spot on the Lake for sun­set! Enjoy some deli­cious local Ord Riv­er pro­duce for after­noon tea before stop­ping for a refresh­ing swim (don’t for­get your bathers!) and com­pli­men­ta­ry beer, wine or cham­pagne – the per­fect end to a mag­nif­i­cent day on Lake Argyle.

Encounter two of the Kimberley’s great­est icons in one day — Pur­nu­l­u­lu (the Bun­gle Bun­gles) and Lake Argyle. Begin with a two hour scenic flight enjoy­ing a bird’s eye view of the World Her­itage list­ed Bun­gle Bun­gles, Lake Argyle (includ­ing the dia­mond mine) and the Ord Riv­er irri­ga­tion area. Take in the breath-tak­ing scenery of the Carr Boyd Ranges, the Osmand Ranges, the Ord Riv­er and the Bow River. 

The coun­try­side of the East Kim­ber­ley is colour­ful and vast, so view­ing it from the com­fort of your air-con­di­tioned, high wing air­craft allows for a tru­ly unique perspective. 

We’ll land back in Kununur­ra and board a coach to Lake Argyle, trav­el­ling through stun­ning east­ern Kim­ber­ley scenery and stop­ping at the his­toric Durack Home­stead Muse­um before say­ing ​‘ahoy’ to our Cap­tain and head­ing out on the water. 

Get ready for some good times and tan lines as we cruise through ​‘the Heads’, vis­it­ing an array of wildlife along the way. Sit back and relax as you learn the colour­ful his­to­ry of Lake Argyle and its sur­round­ing areas. 

Final­ly pull up as the sun sets and the sky turns orange, we’ll raise our glass­es to an unfor­get­table day in the east­ern Kim­ber­ley with com­pli­men­ta­ry cham­pagne, beer and nibbles. 

The coach will drop you back to your Kununur­ra accom­mo­da­tion at around 7pm.

Dur­ing your cruise you’ll enjoy infor­ma­tive com­men­tary on the nat­ur­al his­to­ry and devel­op­ment of Lake Argyle, The Ord Riv­er Irri­ga­tion Sys­tem and The Aqua­cul­ture Indus­try. You’ll encounter Rock Wal­la­bies, Croc­o­diles, Wal­la­roos (Euros) and the diverse array of birdlife that call Lake Argyle home. You’ll be delight­ed and awed by the Archer Fish that shoot water up at your hand with amaz­ing pre­ci­sion. You’ll watch a Cat­fish feed­ing fren­zy (also known by the fanci­er term of ​‘Sil­ver Cob­bler’) and per­haps you’ll even be enticed to come back out on one of our fish­ing trips. SUP: Glide across the water on a stand-up pad­dle board (SUP). We offer a range of stand-up pad­dle boards for hire. Pad­dle board­ing is suit­able for all fit­ness lev­els and is a mar­velous way to see Lake Argyle. 

Dura­tion: 4 Hours

Inclu­sions: Your rental includes your water­craft, pad­dle and life jacket/​s.

Safe­ty: A safe­ty brief­ing is pro­vid­ed to you before you enter the water.

Note: Mar­itime reg­u­la­tions require all pad­dlers to wear life jack­ets at all times. 

Board­shorts and a singlet/​shirt for guys and swimwear for ladies, as you may fall in and get wet! You should bring a dry change of clothes to get into after­wards and a tow­el. Don’t for­get your hat, sun­screen and cam­era! Warm cloth­ing may be required from June to August.
