Wal­la­bies, wal­la­roos, fish feed­ing, birdlife and fresh­wa­ter croc­o­diles are just part of the Lake Argyle wildlife whom you may meet. Stop at a remote island beach for a swim in the pris­tine waters while our crew pre­pare your buf­fet lunch includ­ing a taste of fresh caught Lake Argyle Sil­ver Cob­bler, cold meats, sal­ads, local fruits and a com­pli­men­ta­ry beer, glass of wine or soft drink. After your lake cruise we tour across the main Ord Dam site for a clos­er look at the dam struc­ture, intake tow­er, hydro pow­er sta­tion and irri­ga­tion out­let valves and into the spec­tac­u­lar Ord Riv­er Gorge below the wall. Return to Lake Argyle Resort for an hour of free time to relax at the resort and take a dip in the icon­ic ​“infin­i­ty pool”. Break­fast on Lake Argyle — a mag­i­cal way to start your day! Enjoy majes­tic scenery, rugged shore­lines, inlets and bays and diverse wildlife of Aus­trali­a’s largest body of fresh water which forms Lake Argyle. The cruise starts in Bam­boo Cove and will then take you for a close up view of the Dam Wall, Intake Struc­ture and Quar­ry blast site. From here you will cruise through ​“The Heads”, as it is local­ly known, which leads us to the expanse of Pint­pot Bay and beyond which will show you the amaz­ing size of Lake Argyle and the beau­ty and colours of the Kim­ber­ley. Break­fast is served on board and like all cruis­es on the Kim­ber­ley Durack those who wish to take a swim will have the oppor­tu­ni­ty. You will trav­el the water of Lake Argyle where you will do some fish feed­ing, croc spot­ting, see rock wal­la­bies and a myr­i­ad of birdlife. Your cruise will stop at Wal­la­roo Island where you can explore and also take a swim in the fresh waters of Lake Argyle before enjoy­ing a sump­tu­ous buf­fet lunch.

From your coach pick­up in Kununur­ra you will enjoy a scenic dri­ve through the Carr Boyd Ranges before stop­ping for a ground tour of the Durack Home­stead Muse­um. This is fol­lowed by a vis­it to Lake Argyle Resort where you will have the oppor­tu­ni­ty to see their amaz­ing infin­i­ty pool. You will then board the Kim­ber­ley Durack for a 3 hour cruise on the pris­tine waters of Lake Argyle. Fish feed­ing, croc spot­ting, rock wal­la­bies, wal­la­roos and an array of bird life are all part of the expe­ri­ence.
