$1.2 billion aviation and tourism support package

We have just heard this morning that the federal government has announced a $1.2 billion aviation and tourism support package, to run from 1 April to 31 July 2021. Increased number of flights to an initial 13 regions including Broome.

Routes mentioned in this announcement included:

Darwin-Broome

Sydney-Broome

Melbourne-Broome

The government warns these may change depending on airline negotiations and demand.

The half price flights will be available to book from 1 April and the Broome Visitor Centre will keep you posted as more information becomes available.

Discounted tickets will need to be booked by 31 July 2021 for travel by 30 September 2021. Qantas says its discounted flights will be available online from April 1 for travel from May 1.

Travellers can score their half-price fares from April 1 on airline websites, including Qantas, Jetstar and Virgin Australia (and possibly others).
