This rare phenomenon only happens twice a year, making it a must-see moment that blends Broome’s rich cultural heritage with the beauty of its natural environment.

Bring a picnic, your camera, or simply enjoy the atmosphere as the night sky puts on a show. The event is a free, family-friendly celebration of art, nature and connection, and a wonderful way to engage with Broome’s vibrant Chinatown precinct under the stars. No bookings are required. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot and to walk, cycle or use public transport where possible, as traffic restrictions will apply in the area. The Shire of Broome provides more information about this event on their website.
