ABOUT US
Having lived and worked across the East and West Kimberley, I have developed a deep appreciation for its breathtaking night skies. These experiences have inspired me to share my passion for the stars with others and create truly unforgettable evenings under Broome’s clear, dry season skies.
At Kimberley Astronomy Tours, my goal is to share what I have learnt over 20 years and create incredible stargazing experiences for our guests.
Our stargazing tours are different from anything else you’ll find in Broome.
Here’s what some of our happy guests have said:
“This was the highlight of our trip to Broome! We learned so much and the photos are incredible.”
“Truly amazing — Broome’s skies are just magical, and Kimberley Astronomy Tours made it unforgettable!”
Come and join us for a fun and exciting astronomy night under the stars! You’ll look through lots of telescopes, including special self-tracking ones that follow planets and stars all by themselves. We’ll explore the Moon’s craters, see planets like Jupiter and Saturn with their moons and rings, and even find star clusters and galaxies far, far away.
We’ll show you how the universe works using a big outdoor projector, with cool pictures and videos that make space easy to understand. You’ll even get to try flame spectroscopy — where different colours of fire show you what stars are made of!
You can also take your very own astro photos of the night sky, so you can remember what you saw and share it with friends.
Some of the things you might see:
- The Moon and its craters
- Jupiter and its moons
- Saturn and its rings
- Bright star clusters like the Pleiades
- The Milky Way
- Distant galaxies like Andromeda
- Nebulae like Orion’s
It’s a fun and friendly night for families, kids, and anyone who wants to see just how amazing our universe really is!
Minimum booking numbers are required for the tour to go ahead.
