A long table dinner is exactly that. One table, one sitting, and everyone seated together. There are no separate tables for two and no separate menus. Forty people sit down at the same time and eat the same five courses in the same order. It makes for a different evening to a restaurant booking. You arrive as a pair and you spend two and a half hours with the people either side of you, most of whom you will not have met. Everyone eats at the same pace, so the conversation is shared rather than split across the room.

The gin is what keeps it moving. Every course arrives with its own Moontide pour, so five times across the evening the whole table is handed something new, tastes it at the same moment, and has something to say about it. A shared table needs a shared subject, and the pairing gives everyone one.

This dinner is led by its pairing. Chef Jessie J Morris has built a five-course degustation around gin from Moontide Distillery, just up the coast in Broome, with each course matched to its pour. Local produce, ocean to plate, and the Kimberley in every glass.

Our Eco Beach Coastal Lager, brewed with Spinifex Brewery, and a wine list are on hand too, while live music plays through the evening.
