Day 1
We depart Broome and head up Highway One, crossing the mighty Fitzroy River, before morning tea at Willare Bridge roadhouse. We then continue on to see the Prison Boab tree at the start of the Gibb River Road. We head on to the dirt and the afternoons travel takes us to Tunnel Creek and Windjana Gorge. ( Lunch, Dinner)Day 2
We explore Windjana Gorge, with its’ fresh water crocodiles and enjoy the early Kimberley freshness. We then continue along ‘The Gibb’, crossing the King Leopold Range and heading into ‘cattle-country’. We take a walk into Bells Gorge where we can have a refreshing swim before a delicious lunch. We depart and after a scenic drive through the Boabs we end up at Galvan’s Gorge for an afternoon dip. We set up camp at either Manning Gorge or Barnett River Gorge and relax with a few drinks as the sun sets.Day 3
After exploring the gorge and a swim, we continue East along the Gibb River Road until we veer North Up the Kalumburu Road. On our journey today we cross the Gibb River and stop in at Drysdale Station for a snack or a drink. We then continue until King Edward River where we set up camp and enjoy the sun setting over the river.Day 4 We take the rugged winding road along the plateau and enjoy spectacular scenery as we pass through forests of Livistonia Palms. You are now in one of the most remote and most beautiful place on earth. We take time to explore this wilderness and take a walk in to the Mitchell Falls – You won’t be disappointed – It is spectacular!! On the way in we pass the breath-taking drop of the Mertens Falls and view Bradshaw paintings along the way. You may want to take up the opportunity to enjoy an optional helicopter flight over this pristine country! We end the day relaxing at the campsite with a cold drink and a hearty meal.
Day 5
Today we make our way back towards the Kalumburu Road and Drysdale Cattle Station. Along the way we will see aboriginal Wanjina paintings and more of the Bradshaw rock art. River crossings and rugged terrain continue to keep the pace slow on this leg of our journey. Lunch and a swim in the King Edward River and we head off refreshed. Tonight it’s a few drinks and a yarn at ‘Annie’s Bar’ and an overnight camp at the station or on the banks of the Drysdale River.Day 6
We continue the adventure as we make our way back down to the Gibb River Road and towards the famous El Questro Station. We cross the Pentecost River and finally end up with a swim at Emma Gorge under the waterfall. A relaxing evening under the stars completes another day of this ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’.Day 7
After breakfast, we head into the Hot Zebedee Springs for a relaxing ‘spa’! - Relax and enjoy the scene that nature created. We then explore the El Questro Gorge, swim in the crystal clear water of the rock-pools or head to the waterfall for an exhilarating, refreshing swim. We finally leave the Gibb River Road and arrive in Kununurra before evening.Day 8
Today is a day for relaxing or exploring Kununurra and surrounds. Canoeing, fishing, swimming in the pool or perhaps an optional scenic flight. The day is yours to enjoy.Day 9
It’s ‘back on the road’ as we head towards the Bungle Bungles. Along the way we may cross the river at Ivanhoe Crossing or stop at the Warmun Art Centre to view art by the local indigenous artists. The track into Purnululu National Park is Four Wheel Drive Only – a slow but scenic trip as we approach the wonder of the Bungle Bungles. We set up camp and then do a bit of exploring before drinks at sunset – another day you’ll never forget!Day 10
Echidna Chasm, Frog Hole, Mini Palms Gorge, Picanniny Creek, Cathedral Gorge are our options today – we are in the midst of The Bungle Bungles and there is plenty to see and do. You might also take the optional helicopter flight and experiance the magic from the air.Day 11
We negotiate our way back over the 4WD track to the main highway and head to Fitzroy Crossing. This part of the East Kimberley is very scenic and opportunities to take photos present themselves at many places. An optional river cruise is available to Explore Geike Gorge just out of Fitzroy Crossing. Tonight we camp at ‘ The Lodge’ after a swim in the hotel pool.Day 12
The last leg of our journey takes us to beautiful tropical Broome where we sadly farewell our travelling friends. Along the way we see the Fitzroy River, huge Boab trees and keep our eyes open for the local wildlife. We depart Broome and head down Highway One before arriving in Marble Bar, (the hottest town in Australia). Here we have the opportunity to do some fossicking around the old diggings, or possibly out to look at the old WW2 Corunna Airfield. A swim at the Marble Bar Pool while exploring the Jasper Reef or maybe a beer at The Ironclad Hotel could be on offer. Tonight we set up a bush-camp and relax around the campfire.Day 2
Today we are in ‘The Pilbara’, the mining capital of the nation. We head towards the Karijini National Park whilst passing many of the massive Iron Ore Operations on the way. We explore some of the most spectacular scenery in Western Australia as we explore gorges cut deep into the rock, swim in cool refreshing pools and see cascading waterfalls.Day 3
We continue our exploration of the Karijini National Park and enjoy the many gorges that make up this magnificent spectacle.Day 4
After an early morning hike into one of the spectacular gorges, we depart Karijini and head towards Exmouth. On the way we stop at the town of Tom Price and make our way through The Pilbara.Day 5
After exploring Exmouth and the Cape Range National Park, we continue along the coast stopping for sightseeing and swims . We end the day relaxing at Coral Bay and Ningaloo Reef.Day 6
We head towards Monkey Mia and the world famous dolphins. Enjoy the spectacle as we meet our friends of the ocean. On the way we stop at the amazing Shell Beach. Crystal clear water and pure white beaches make this the perfect spot for some swimming, snorkelling and sunbaking.Day 7
Today it’s exploring and swimming before we make our way down the coast. We stop at the Kalbarri National Park and explore the rugged Z-Bend Gorge where the Murchison River cuts its’ way through the range on the way to the ocean. Drinks at sunset as we settle in for another relaxing evening on this journey South.Day 8
We make our way towards the amazing ‘Lunar Landscape’ of the Pinnacles . On the way we pass through the seaside town of Denham and explore the Nambung National Park. We then continue on and arrive in Perth as evening sets in.Day 1
Travel from Darwin is by Luxury Greyhound Coach – Departs the terminal at Mitchell Street Darwin at 7.15AM. Pass through Adelaide River, Katherine, Victoria River and Hunter Creek before arriving in Kununurra at about 6.15PM. A relaxing evening and dinner whilst you meet your travelling companions.Day 2

Broome, Gibb River Road, Windjana Gorge, Tunnel Creek, Bells Gorge, Galvins Gorge, Barnett River Gorge, King Edward River, Mitchell Falls, Drysdale Station, El Questro, Kununurra
Day 1
Today we depart Kununurra and head towards the Bungle Bungles. Along the way we may cross the river at Ivanhoe Crossing or stop at the Warmun Art Centre to view art by the local indigenous artists. The track into Purnululu National Park is Four Wheel Drive Only – a slow but scenic trip as we approach the wonder of the Bungle Bungles. We set up camp and then do a bit of exploring before drinks at sunset – another day you’ll never forget!Day 2
Echidna Chasm, Frog Hole, Mini Palms Gorge, Piccaninny Creek, Cathedral Gorge are our options today – we are in the midst of The Bungle Bungles and there is plenty to see and do. You might also take the optional helicopter flight and experience the magic from the air.Day 3
We negotiate our way back over the 4WD track to the main highway and head to Fitzroy Crossing. This part of the East Kimberley is very scenic and opportunities to take photos present themselves at many places. An optional river cruise is available to Explore Geikie Gorge just out of Fitzroy Crossing. Tonight we camp at ‘The Lodge’ after a swim in the hotel pool.Day 4
This leg of our journey takes us to beautiful tropical Broome where we sadly farewell some of our travelling friends. Along the way we see the Fitzroy River, huge Boab trees and keep our eyes open for the local wildlife.Day 5 and Day 6> We spend a couple of days in Broome replenishing and preparing the coach for the next leg of our trip. During this time you are free to explore Broome at your leisure. We will provide your campsite, equipment and breakfast, however the rest of the meals are up to you to organise – this has been priced into your tour price!
Day 7 We depart Broome and head up Highway One, crossing the mighty Fitzroy River, before morning tea at Willare Bridge roadhouse. We then continue on to see the Prison Boab tree at the start of the Gibb River Road. We head on to the dirt and the afternoons travel takes us to Tunnel Creek and Windjana Gorge.
Day 8
We explore Windjana Gorge, with its’ fresh water crocodiles and enjoy the early Kimberley freshness. We then continue along ‘The Gibb’, crossing the King Leopold Range and heading into ‘cattle-country’. We take a walk into Bells Gorge where we can have a refreshing swim before a delicious lunch. We depart and after a scenic drive through the Boabs we end up at Galvan’s Gorge for an afternoon dip. We set up camp at either Manning Gorge or Barnett River Gorge and relax with a few drinks as the sun sets.Day 9
After exploring the gorge and a swim, we continue East along the Gibb River Road until we veer North Up the Kalumburu Road. On our journey today we cross the Gibb River and stop in at Drysdale Station for a snack or a drink. We then continue until King Edward River where we set up camp and enjoy the sun setting over the river.Day 10
We take the rugged winding road along the plateau and enjoy spectacular scenery as we pass through forests of Livistonia Palms. You are now in one of the most remote and most beautiful place on earth. We take time to explore this wilderness and take a walk in to the Mitchell Falls – You won’t be disappointed – It is spectacular!! On the way in we pass the breath-taking drop of the Mertens Falls and view Bradshaw paintings along the way. You may want to take up the opportunity to enjoy an optional helicopter flight over this pristine country! We end the day relaxing at the campsite with a cold drink and a hearty meal.Day 11
Today we make our way back towards the Kalumburu Road and Drysdale Cattle Station. Along the way we will see aboriginal Wanjina paintings and more of the Bradshaw rock art. River crossings and rugged terrain continue to keep the pace slow on this leg of our journey. Lunch and a swim in the King Edward River and we head off refreshed. Tonight it’s a few drinks and a yarn at ‘Annie’s Bar’ and an overnight camp at the station or on the banks of the Drysdale River.Day 12
We continue the adventure as we make our way back down to the Gibb River Road and towards the famous El Questro Station. We cross the Pentecost River and finally end up with a swim at Emma Gorge under the waterfall. A relaxing evening under the stars completes another day of this ‘Adventure of a Lifetime’.Day 13
After breakfast, we head into the Hot Zebedee Springs for a relaxing ‘spa’! - Relax and enjoy the scene that nature created. We then explore the El Questro Gorge, swim in the crystal clear water of the rock-pools or head to the waterfall for an exhilarating, refreshing swim. We finally leave the Gibb River Road and arrive in Kununurra before evening.TRAVEL INFORMATION
Conditions Cancellations & Liability
Please be aware that you will be travelling to remote locations where you will be participating in guided and non-guided activities (i.e. walking and swimming). Mishaps can occur you are required before participating in the tour to provide emergency contact details and acknowledge by signing the form where indicated that you have read and accepted the conditions of travel on this tour.
CONDITIONS OF TRAVEL
1. A $600.00 deposit is payable on booking. The balance is due 2 months prior to departure. Tours booked within 60 days of the departure date must be paid in full at the time.
2. In the event that you wish to cancel you must immediately inform Adventure Wild Pty Ltd in writing. Cancellation will take effect upon receipt of written notification and the following cancellation fees will apply:
- Within 120 days of departure
Deposit forfeited;
- Within 60 days of departure
100% tour price forfeited;
3. Travel Insurance is NOT included. Although we take all precautions no liability can be taken in case of sickness injury or personal loss. Travel insurance is strongly recommended and you are strongly advised to book your insurance (including cancellation insurance) at the time of your reservation. This may be organised through your existing insurance company or travel agent.
4. Adventure Wild have guaranteed departures. Full refund will apply should any tour have to be cancelled prior to departure. Adventure Wild is not liable for any incidental expenses incurred by a passenger as a result of any delay alteration or curtailment of any tour whether caused by mechanical defect adverse road or weather conditions or any other cause. Times shown in information supplied by Adventure Wild are not guaranteed and form no part of this contract. Adventure Wild are not able to guarantee exact arrival and departure times and are not liable for any failure to make connections with any other service.
5. Whilst every precaution will be taken for the safety of passengers no liability of any kind whatsoever can be taken in the event of death accident injury loss or damage to person and property or cost of emergency evacuation on these tours. This exclusion of liability shall apply to and be for the benefit of Adventure Wild’s agents servants and representatives. Without limiting the ambit or scope of the exclusion of liability expressed in the above paragraphs Adventure Wild it’s agents servants and representatives shall not be liable for any death injury accident or damage to a person arising out of:
a.
Any walking or rock walking during the tour and any such activities are undertaken at the participants own risk;
b. Any swimming snorkelling or bathing in any waters during the tour and any such activities are undertaken at the participants own risk;
c. Any air travel or travel on watercraft during the tour as part of or incidental to the tour;
d. Any travel in any motor vehicle during the tour as part of or incidental to the tour.
6. Tours may vary due to track or road conditions or at discretion of operator or tour leader. Adventure Wild may without notice vary or substitute locations transport accommodation or tour times.
