Departing Town Beach reserve, Monday to Friday, 9;15 am, finishing at The Broome Museum. Broome Historical Walking Tours offers a 90-minute journey back in time, uncovering the rich history of Broome. Using photographs taken in the hey day as a window to that wild and romantic era, the tour visits exact locations the images were taken, comparing the changes to todays vista. It discusses the romance, the stories, the intrigue and the facts surrounding the quest for the elusive Oyster in the worlds most remote frontier town…
“The history of the small coastal town of Broome, in Western Australia’s far north west is an incredible tale. Movie makers would find it difficult to write a screen play of fiction to match the reality of the events that took place in this remote frontier town…”
