Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre





Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre (BRAC) is the central hub for sport in the Shire of Broome.
Boasting a 25m swimming pool, a children’s leisure lagoon with zero depth entry, indoor stadium, two squash courts, eight tennis courts, four outdoor netball/basketball courts and two multi-use sporting fields. BRAC has something for everyone.
BRAC is home to a multitude of sporting organisations representing, AFL, athletics, basketball, cricket, rugby league, netball, soccer, squash, swimming, tennis, touch football. These community clubs and associations host regular seasonal competitions and regional competitions annually from BRAC.
Theatre Kimberley’s Sandfly Circus use the Centre as its training base, and perform major concerts annually from BRAC.
BRAC is also the official Cyclone Welfare Centre for the Shire of Broome.
The extensive range of facilities and beautifully landscaped setting make BRAC the ideal venue whatever your requirements.

Advanced notice - Upcoming BRAC Pool Closure
The Broome Recreation and Aquatic Centre swimming pool and aquatic area will be temporarily closed for scheduled maintenance to the sanitation and filtration system.

This essential work helps ensure we continue to provide a clean and safe swimming environment for the Broome community.What this means: Learn to Swim lessons will conclude early on Thursday, 14 May, with Term 2 adjusted to a four-week program. All aquatic programs will pause during this period, including Adult Swim Group, Aqua Combo and Deep Water Aqua.
