This flight begins at the south west end of the Bungle Bungle Range at Y Gorge before soaring across the top of the enormous massif to the mouth of the spectacular Piccaninny Gorge. Continue along the southern face of the Range, following Piccaninny Creek. Here, you can view the mouth of Cathedral Gorge and fly over the famous orange and black striped sandstone beehive shaped domes. INCLUSIONS: Experienced pilot & professional commentary. Fly over the south west end of the Bungle Bungle Range to “Y” Gorge before soaring across the top of the enormous massif to the mouth of the spectacular Piccaninny Gorge. Continue along the southern face of the range, following Piccaninny Creek, where you can view the mouth of Cathedral Gorge and soar over the famous orange and black striped sandstone beehive shaped domes. You will then land near the mouth of Piccaninny Gorge — this enormous gorge spreads into five fingers as it cuts through the Bungle Bungle Range. The total flight time amounts to 18 minutes, and is split into a 12 and 6 minutes. Your guide will lead the hike into the gorge and explain the cultural significance of the area in an indigenous context, as well as the unique history of the area which consequently led to the world heritage listing of Purnululu National Park. The hike is up to 10km return and requires a HIGH LEVEL OF FITNESS AND MOBILITY — the rocky creek bed of Piccaninny Gorge is classed as a level five walk. The sandstone massif of the Bungle Bungle Range is almost 99 times the area of Uluru – there are more stunning features and spectacular landforms to see in this half-hour scenic flight than you could imagine. View the hidden red rock gorges of the north west tip of the Bungle Bungle Range, as well as Piccaninny Gorge from end to end, and the unique beehive formations that have contributed to the listing of Purnululu National Park as one of Australia’s World Heritage areas. Depart Bellburn Airstrip and head towards the southern tip of the Bungle Bungle Range to view Deep Gorge and “The Twins”. Continue to the highest point of the Bungle Bungle Range and view the spectacular Red Rock Gorges of the north-west end of the Park. View the eastern side of the Range, and encounter incredible eroded sandstone formations and a maze of gorges, soaring over the Valley of the Giants. Fly along the southern face to the mouth of Piccaninny Gorge, and then follow Piccaninny Creek to view and photograph the mouth of Cathedral Gorge and the famous orange and black striped beehive shaped domes. Flight Time: 60 minutes | Tour Duration: 2 hours Discover one of the most stunning remote beaches along the Esperance coast on this exclusive helicopter experience. Departing from the Esperance Foreshore, fly over Esperance Bay then track east towards the famous Cape Le Grand National Park and Frenchman Peak. Follow the sparkling coastline until you reach Hammer Head, where your pilot will land on the pristine, sandy white beach. You will make a landing at Bellburn Airstrip, where you will collect your tour guide and head to the mouth of Piccaninny Gorge. From here, you will start your 10-kilometre hike through the Gorge, on a track that is very difficult to access without helicopter. This hike is highly challenging, and at points will see you forming your own pathway alongside your guide. For this reason, we recommend this hike to those with a high level of fitness and full mobility. Your food and water for the day is supplied,but must be carried on your trek. After a day of hiking, you will return to Warmun via helicopter, with stunning views of the sunset on the Range. INCLUSIONS: Experienced pilot & professional commentary. COVID-19 policy
Our Standard cancellation policy remains in place however if guests are unable to travel due to Government border closures or travel restrictions that restrict the client from entering the Kimberley at the time of travel we will offer to amend the travel dates (at rate booked) or cancel without fee.

INSURANCE | We strongly recommend that all customers take out travel insurance. In the event of a tour being cancelled by us customers will be entitled to a full refund without penalty.
PAYMENT CONDITIONS | To confirm your reservation full payment must be made unless you have an existing account with us. All existing accounts are strictly 14 days. Payment can be made via credit card bank deposit or cash. AMEX cards will attract a 2% surcharge.
MINIMUM NUMBERS | A minimum of 2 passengers or the equivalent cost is required to confirm a tour booking unless the tour is already confirmed to run. Please call our reservations team to check availability for one passenger. All overnight packages rates are Twin Share Single Supplement prices are available.
CHILD AGE / INFANT POLICY | Infants are classified as 0-2 years and may travel free of charge on their parent’s lap with lap strap. Please note that only one infant may travel per aircraft. Children are classified as 3-12 years of age inclusive and must be accompanied by an adult on flights.
DISABLED PASSENGERS | Please advise the level of assistance required with a minimum of 48 hours prior to departure time. Staff are not permitted to lift any passengers.
CHECK IN TIME | Passengers must be at the aircraft departure point / tour departure point no later than 30 minutes prior to scheduled departure time.
COMMENTARY | All scenic flights and tours include personalised commentary by the pilot / tour guide. All tours and safety briefings are conducted in English.
SEAT WEIGHT LIMIT | The maximum seat weight limit on the Robinson R44 & R66 helicopter is 136kg. for all other helicopter types, the maximum seat limit is 150kg. Please check with our reservations which aircraft is running on the day of the tour.
PERSONAL ITEMS | All care is taken but no liability is accepted for damage to personal items. For lost property please contact the office you departed your flight.
CAMERAS | Cameras and phones must have a lanyard / wrist strap. Tablets and iPads are not permitted to be used on board.
LUGGAGE RESTRICTIONS | We prefer soft luggage only and a maximum of 8kg per person.
SEASONALITY | Opening and closing dates of our remote bases during the dry season may vary. Please contact our Kununurra office for more information (08) 9168 1101.
VALIDITY OF RATES | Prices quoted are subject to change. All prices are in Australian dollars ($AUD). Tours paid for in full are protected from price increases. In the event of HeliSpirit introducing a special offer or rates that are discounted against the standard rate retrospective refunds will not be permitted.
HOTEL TRANSFERS | Complimentary pick up/drop offs are available for all flights which depart Kununurra. Pick up will be 30 minutes prior to flight departure and available from all Hotel Motels and Caravan Parks within Kununurra Township. Please advise at the time of booking if you require a pick-up or call the HeliSpirit office directly on (08) 9168 1110 no later than 3pm the day prior to departure.
GOVERNMENT CHARGES | Our prices are fully inclusive of all government environmental and airport levies.
ITINERARIES | Whilst it is our intention to deliver the itinerary of your choice unforeseen circumstances such as the nature of the terrain unseasonable weather national park area closures and so on travelling conditions may be affected and therefore make it necessary to alter touring with little or no notice.
FUEL SURCHARGE | In the event of significant upward movement in the cost of aviation fuel we reserve the right to introduce a fuel surcharge. This shall be advised in writing no less than two months prior to its commencement and will be additionally advised at the time of booking confirmation.
CUSTOMER INFORMATION AND PRIVACY | We require customer information for all reservations that we accept including full passenger name passenger weight contact telephone number and email address. Passenger information will be retained by us in accordance with our Privacy Policy which may be viewed on our Privacy Policy page on our website. We require passenger contact information to allow us to make contact with passengers in the event of occurrences including but not limited to adverse weather conditions on the rare occasion that a tour time may be rescheduled or in the event that personal property has been left behind after a tour.
