Hours: Sunday – Friday: 08:00 – 17:00. Saturday: 08:00 – 15:00. After-hours service is available for flights arriving between 17:00 and 19:30, subject to branch approval and a valid incoming flight number.

We are the licensed operator of the Thrifty Australia brand across the Kimberley region of Western Australia and the Northern Territory, with locations in Broome, Kununurra, Darwin, Katherine, Tennant Creek, Alice Springs, Ayers Rock and Mt Isa.
We offer a large range of passenger vehicles, 4WDs and minibuses suited to local conditions. All vehicles are on request- Broome Visitor Centre will contact Thrifty before confirmation is provided.

Pick-up
Broome Airport pick-up is available for incoming commercial flights from 08:00 – 19:00 (subject to service availability). Walk-in service is available 08:00 – 17:00, with Saturday closing at 15:00.
Hire conditions
Minimum 2‑day hire with unlimited kilometres.
Drivers must be 21+ for passenger vehicles and 25+ for 4WD vehicles.
Vehicle group is guaranteed (not a specific make/model).
Where you can drive
4WD travel is permitted on the Gibb River Road and to the Bungle Bungles (Purnululu National Park).
Vehicles are not permitted on beaches, Mitchell Plateau, Kalumburu, the Tanami Road, or further south of Broome than 80 Mile Beach.

All vehicles are always ON REQUEST - Broome Visitor Centre will contact Thrifty before confirmation is provided.
Applicable extra fees (eg. One-Way fees & extras) payable direct to Thrifty on pick up. PLS (Premium Location Surcharge) payable at pick up up until 31/03/19 only
It is important to advise Thrifty before renting your vehicle where you are planning to travel.There are areas where Thrifty vehicles are prohibited from going as well as areas where your Thrifty representative will be able to advise you on must know information for travelling into these specific areas. 4WD Wagon's are the only vehicle allowed to travel on dirt roads.
Cancellation Fees
Cancellation of four wheel drive bus & commercial reservations less than 14 days prior to rental will incur a $330.00 fee or rental cost (whichever is lower).
For cancellations of conventional vehicle reservations outside 7 days from date of pick up for Darwin Alice Springs and Ayers Rock there is no charge however should there be a cancellation inside 7 days from date of pick up a $220 cancellation fee or rental cost (whichever is lower) is applicable. 14 days notice is required for all other Thrifty NT locations.
Refunds
No refunds are due from Thrifty for any unused portions of pre-booked rental once travel has commenced eg if vehicle is returned earlier than was booked and confirmed.
No show Reservations
No show fees will be charged on all vehicles in all cities the fees will be advised in writing if a no-show occurs.
