The Boab Festival is back for 2024.

This year has lots of events, fantastic sponsors and a hard working committee. Join us during the June/July 2024 school holidays for a two week celebration of the West Kimberley lifestyle.

We're thrilled to announce that Troy Cassar-Daley will be headlining the Mardi Gras on June 28th!

But that's not all – some beloved events are making their comeback, including the Tata Film Festival and the Mud Crab Races at the Mary Island Fishing Club. Don't miss the Night on the Marsh and BOAB Spectacular Derby Speedway

HORIZON POWER FLOAT PARADE

Experience the vibrant spectacle of the Horizon Power Float Parade as it winds through the heart of town, marking the beginning of this year's Boab Festival. Community groups come together to create stunning floats, showcasing the essence of Derby. Don't miss this incredible display of colour! The winners of the Horizon Power Float Parade will be announced at the Boab Festival Mardi Gras, supported by Lotterywest, at 7:30 pm.

Troy Cassar-Daley will be headlining at the Derby Mardi Gras this year. Entry is absolutely FREE!

The Horizon Power Float Parade commences its journey from the Derby Civic Centre at 4pm, winding through the town streets until it reaches the Derby Town Oval for the Derby Boab Festival MARDI GRAS, generously supported by Lotterywest and Kimberley Mineral Sands.

Expect an enthusiastic crowd of locals and visitors alike, revelling in the diverse offerings of food, arts, crafts, and informative stalls.

Excitement abounds with a captivating assortment of amusements and exhilarating rides. Look out for roaming children's entertainers, dancers, and live music performances on the grand stage, showcasing Kimberley bands alongside a prominent international touring act.

At 7:45 pm, brace for the announcement of the Horizon Power Float Parade winners, followed by the crowning of the Boab Quest champions.
