A Total Solar Eclipse is happening in July 2028 across the Kimberley with visibility in Kununurra, Wyndham and the Purnululu National Park (Bungle Bungles). The eclipse is expected to last about 4 minutes in totality, and the Kimberley in Western Australia is the place to see it happen!
The eclipse's central trajectory will span across Australia, starting from the north-west Kimberley area and proceeding in a south-east course through Western Australia.
We have a few resources for you to start reading up about this celestial event and to learn more about the Kimberley region.
Fourteen days before this total solar eclipse, on the morning of 7 July 2028, an partial lunar eclipse will be visible from Australia.
