Fusion Moonrise - Thursday 2nd April 2026

Experience one of Broome’s most magical natural events at the Fusion Moonrise, taking place on Thursday 2nd April 2026. As the full moon rises over Napier Terrace, it aligns perfectly with the iconic Fusion sculpture located at the Carnarvon Street roundabout in Chinatown — creating a breathtaking visual that draws photographers, locals and visitors alike.

The moon is expected to rise at approximately 6:30pm, with its peak alignment above the sculpture occurring at around 7:12pm. This rare phenomenon only happens twice a year, making it a must-see moment that blends Broome’s rich cultural heritage with the beauty of its natural environment.

Bring a picnic, your camera, or simply enjoy the atmosphere as the night sky puts on a show. The event is a free, family-friendly celebration of art, nature and connection, and a wonderful way to engage with Broome’s vibrant Chinatown precinct under the stars.

No bookings are required. Attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a good viewing spot and to walk, cycle or use public transport where possible, as traffic restrictions will apply in the area.

Join us for this special evening where the moon, art and community align in one unforgettable moment.

Napier Terrace will be closed from 5pm, Fusion Alignment at 7:12pm.

Location: Napier Terrace and Carnarvon Street roundabout (view map)
