Chinatown Feast is returning to take over the heart of Chinatown! The Chinatown Feast, presented by Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures, is our starlit Hawker-style dining event with a Kimberley twist. Held in the heart of Chinatown Broome, on Short St. Tantalise your taste-buds with a selection of dishes from Broome’s finest food vendors, while roving performers & live musicians entertain you throughout the evening. A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you! Town Beach parkrun is a FREE weekly 5k event for participants of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 7:00am in Town Beach precinct.90 Robinson St, Broome, WA 6725.

A festival favourite, the Shinju Matsuri Dragon Boat Races bring the ancient Chinese tradition of dragon boating to the turquoise waters of Broome’s Town Beach. With origins dating back more than 2,000 years, dragon boat racing began as a cultural ceremony in China to honour ancestors, celebrate community, and mark the changing of the seasons. Today, it is recognised worldwide as both a sport and a vibrant cultural celebration. Saturday 29th August from 8am - 2pm at Town Beach.

The Broome Courthouse Markets are held in the beautiful heritage listed gardens of the Broome Courthouse. Trading every Saturday all year, and Sundays during high season. The Broome Courthouse Markets are located on the corner of Frederick and Hamersley Street.

REGIONAL EVENT! Mowanjum Festival 2026. Each year, the Mowanjum Arts Centre hosts this unique celebration of the vibrant, living culture of the Woddorda, Ngarinyin and Wunambal peoples. Through the sharing of Junba (traditional dance), music, singing and storytelling, this festival has attracted thousands of national and international visitors, travelling to witness and take part in Western Australia’s largest open-access cultural celebration. Performers hail from the three tribes of the Mowanjum community as well as those from over the Kimberley and NT regions. Saturday 29 August 2026 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Tickets on sale now. Following the release of her debut album Phases, Stellar Moon is currently recording her second album. Representing Fitzroy Crossing/Halls Creek, Bart Marr & the Now or Never Boyz bring high-energy country rock infused with Kimberley heart and humour.
