Experience an unforgettable evening of original Kimberley music under the stars ON Saturday 29th August as Mabu Nurlu Buru (Good Song Country) brings together three outstanding First Nations singer-songwriters, each with their own unique voice, stories and connection to Country. Representing Broome/Djarindjin, Saltwater Kin blend rich harmonies, heartfelt storytelling and contemporary sounds, and are currently in the studio recording their highly anticipated debut album. From Derby/Broome, Stellar Moon & the Dark Knights deliver a powerful blend of soul, blues and roots, creating performances that are heartfelt, uplifting and deeply connected to people and place. Following the release of her debut album Phases, Stellar Moon is currently recording her second album. Representing Fitzroy Crossing/Halls Creek, Bart Marr & the Now or Never Boyz bring high-energy country rock infused with Kimberley heart and humour. Fresh from the studio earlier this year, they’ll be celebrating the release of their debut single on the night. Set against the beautiful backdrop of the Shinju Hub at Town Beach, this free community concert promises a warm Kimberley welcome, great music, delicious food, a fully stocked bar and an evening of connection through song. The Floating Lanterns is a free community event. One of the most beautiful moments of the festival. Inspired by the Japanese Obon celebration, this ceremony honours loved ones with lanterns drifting on the waters. Held at Gantheaume Beach, this special evening is a tribute to loved ones past and present. Create a personalised lantern, gently release your lantern into the sea and take a moment to reflect.

Broome Town Band is a welcoming community concert band bringing people together through music. Established in 2023, we welcome musicians of all ages and abilities and love performing at community events throughout Broome. See them play on Sunday 30th August from 3:30 PM – 4:30 PM. The Staircase to the Moon is a natural phenomenon observed in Broome Western Australia between April and October only. It is caused by the rising of a full moon reflecting on the exposed mudflats at extremely low tide creating a beautiful optical illusion of a staircase reaching up to the moon.
