Broome finally has a weekly comedy club again! Join us this Tuesday at The Roey—Broome’s home of great entertainment! Looking for a laugh after work? Or always wanted to try stand-up comedy? The Dugong Comedy Club is Broome’s new weekly open mic comedy night, where anyone can get on stage and tell a funny story, try out some jokes, perform a comedy routine, or simply enjoy a room full of laughs. Every Tuesday, 5:30 pm, The Lounge Bar at The Roey. FREE to perform. FREE to watch. Whether you’ve been doing comedy for years or you’re thinking about getting on stage for the very first time, this is a friendly, supportive room where you can put in the reps, try new material, and have some fun.Not performing? CASSANDRA BRYNDER EXHIBITION. Dreaming of the Top End at Redbill Studio Gallery. In Dreaming of the Top End, Cassandra Bynder presents a deeply personal body of Gelli plate monotypes born from a period of grief, healing and creative rediscovery. The exhibition began with an unexpected encounter—an op-shop copy of Frank Hodgkinson's Kakadu and the Arnhem Landers. During a time when painting no longer came easily, Hodgkinson's expressive depictions of Arnhem Land sparked something both familiar and profound. His vibrant use of colour, texture and mark-making became the catalyst for a new way of creating, allowing Cassandra to reconnect with joy through play, experimentation and intuition.

Come along to life drawing session at Kimberley Arts Network. KAN's regular Life Drawing sessions are open to everyone. Whether you're a practicing artist, or someone who just wants to improve your observational and sketching skills... KAN offers a welcoming and creative space for everyone. Basic materials are supplied, but you are welcome to bring your own materials. Wednesday from 5.30pm - 7.30pm. $25 a session or purchase five for $100*. You can drop in for one session, or buy five sessions at a discounted price. The Life Drawing group is happy to hear from models. We welcome models of all ages, shapes, sizes, gender and experience. The Staircase to the Moon is a natural phenomenon observed in Broome Western Australia between April and October only. It is caused by the rising of a full moon reflecting on the exposed mudflats at extremely low tide creating a beautiful optical illusion of a staircase reaching up to the moon.
