Watch the Shinju Matsuri Float Parade from above with cocktails, complimentary finger food and one of Broome’s best balcony views. Join us at The Broome Closet for Floats from the Closet, a relaxed afternoon celebrating the colour, excitement and community spirit of the Shinju Matsuri Float Parade. From our Level 1 balcony overlooking Dampier Terrace, you’ll have a fantastic vantage point as the parade makes its way through Chinatown. Settle in with a cocktail, enjoy the atmosphere from above and watch the floats, performers and festivities pass by below. The event is free to attend, with complimentary finger food served between 3:00pm and 5:00pm. Our full cocktail and drinks menu will be available throughout the afternoon.

Shinju Broome Car Club Show and Shine!

Bayside Beats & Brews is back and ready for you to kick back with friends on a Sunday, along with a cheeky cocktail or two. Enjoy cocktail specials and smooth DJ sets by local DJ Seon Wall (+special guests) against Broome’s best backdrop to wrap up your weekend in style. Only at the Bay Club at the Mangrove Hotel. Make sure you’re in Chinatown on Sunday 23rd August, to witness the fun, creativity and captivating energy of the Float Parade presented by Northside Rentals. . This free community event features colorful local floats, marching groups, and the traditional appearance of Sammy the Dragon winding through Chinatown. The Shinju Matsuri Float Parade is one of the most traditional events on our program, being part of the festival since the very early days. The stunning array of floats represents the diversity of the Broome community, being created by local community groups, schools, performance groups & local businesses. Starts: Male Oval - Finishes: Male Oval. Sunday 23rd August 2026 from 3pm - 5pm.

Sunset drinks is on at Cable Beach every Monday through to Saturday from 4pm-6pm. Come unwind, watch the sun set into the ocean, and have a cocktail with us!

Pool Comp at Divers Tavern on Sundays from 4pm - 7pm. Buy in $20, buy back $10. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.

Live Music feat Mojo Jacket. Sunday 23rd August. Join us at the Shinju Festival Hub as Mojo Jacket takes over with an incredible live show, delivering a powerhouse mix of rock, blues, soul, and all the songs you know and love. 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. With years of experience entertaining crowds across Australia and sharing the stage with some of the country’s biggest names, Mojo Jacket knows how to put on a performance you won’t forget. Carnival of Nations, is a much loved Shinju Matsuri event. Join us for a celebration of diversity and culture via a series of unique immersive performances & cultural displays. Grab your picnic rug and a bite to eat from the line-up of local food vans, before taking in a visual feast for all ages, paying homage to the rich and diverse cultural tapestry of Broome then and now. Join the community for the Shire Of Broome Wardrobe Swap- proudly supported by WasteSorted. Whether you’re donating clothes you no longer wear or searching for your next favourite outfit, every item swapped helps reduce textile waste and gives quality clothing a second life. It’s a great opportunity to connect with others, refresh your wardrobe and be part of a more sustainable community. Bring along clean, good-quality clothing suitable for ages 12 and over or simply come along to browse the collection. After you’ve found your next favourite outfit, stay at The Hub to enjoy the refreshments and entertainment on offer.
