Events to commemorate Broome Air Raid 81st anniversary

Events held on March 2 and 3 will include the centrepiece Commemoration Service at the Beford Park War Memorial attended by dignitaries including Ambassador of Netherlands in Australia Marion Derckx, Consul-General of Japan in Western Australia Naito Yasushi, and British Consul General in Western Australia Tina Redshaw.

Roads, Emergency, Bushfire, Flood & Safety information

During the wet season, road conditions within Broome and the Kimberley region can change dramatically (over a short period of time) making some roads inaccessible at short notice. Floods occur quickly with heavy rainfall along the roads, and can wash out floodways, making them very dangerous for both experienced and inexperienced drivers. Always follow the safety advice and if a road is closed, or appear to be dangerous, don't risk it!

Broome to be the first port of call for the first returning cruise liner to Western Australia. Princess Cruises’ Coral Princess departs Sydney on October 11, cruising around the top end before arriving in Broome on October 24. The Broome tourism community is thrilled to once again welcome cruise passengers to our region after a two and a half year hiatus. The big ships are back!
