The story of 'Millie the Black Kite' is based on the story of a famous Broome bird who accidently hitched a ride to Bali. This beautiful, interactive puppet performance is the result of a collaboration between a Broome and Indonesian puppet companies. The story is told using a multitude of puppets. The story is a reflection on the impact of human intervention in the lives of animals, the importance of understanding the needs of wildlife in a changing world, a call for humanity and understanding, and what it means to be free. It is suitable for all ages, but children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. BUY TICKETS. All tickets include a free Puppet Workshop an hour prior to the show commencing. Shinju Matsuri Festival 2026

A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you! Town Beach parkrun is a FREE weekly 5k event for participants of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 7:00am in Town Beach precinct.90 Robinson St, Broome, WA 6725.
