The Broome Billfish Classic / Fatty's Day Fishing Competition will be held in Broome from 23rd-27th July 2026. Fatty's Day on the 24th. Target Billfish spaced over a few days, great crowd and great fun! For all boat sizes and all ages that are capable of holding a line. Details here. Anglers from all over compete for top prizes while targeting billfish like marlin and sailfish. Join us for thrilling competition, community spirit, and sustainable fishing practices. The Mangrove Hotel will be running yoga every week from 8am-9am. $15 for non-guests and sign up is required at reception minimum 24 hours prior and mats required, unless you are a hotel guest.

‘Contemporary Archaeology’ by Leon Pericles. Visit Black Stump Gallery to view a collection of amazing art by renowned artist and printmaker Leon Pericles. Exhibition runs 17 - 30 July.

CASSANDRA BRYNDER EXHIBITION. Dreaming of the Top End at Redbill Studio Gallery. In Dreaming of the Top End, Cassandra Bynder presents a deeply personal body of Gelli plate monotypes born from a period of grief, healing and creative rediscovery. The exhibition began with an unexpected encounter—an op-shop copy of Frank Hodgkinson's Kakadu and the Arnhem Landers. During a time when painting no longer came easily, Hodgkinson's expressive depictions of Arnhem Land sparked something both familiar and profound. His vibrant use of colour, texture and mark-making became the catalyst for a new way of creating, allowing Cassandra to reconnect with joy through play, experimentation and intuition.

Broome's Premier Art Event Returns: Environs Kimberley Art Auction Lights Up the Civic Centre on 25 July. Environs Kimberley (EK) will host its much-loved Art Auction on Saturday 25 July at the Broome Civic Centre, bringing together extraordinary artwork from Kimberley artists and remote art centres for a night of live music, food, and community spirit, all in support of artists and the protection of the Kimberley's natural environment.

We’re dialling up the country vibes again in Broome for another night of line dancing with Justine De Bruyn and Erin Mcmanis from Studio 34 taking the lead. Saturday 25th July from 6pm. We'll be playing plenty of country hits to set the vibe of the night, along with cold beer specials and some tasty bites. Two-step the night away overlooking beautiful Roebuck Bay. It's a line dancing experience you won't find anywhere else.
