"A professional lifetime spent in chaotic, cramped and noisy emergency departments leads her to seek out the quiet in our vast vistas. Landscapes to settle in to, that give you time to reflect and wash over you. Old places that on closer consideration, silently hold tension and energy in fine balance. I would like to acknowledge the spiritual relationship first nations people hold to this land. "Stories held in light" is an intimate exhibition reflecting on life in regional northern Australia by artist Linda Wilson. An award-winning artist from Derby, Linda's work has captivated audiences across the Kimberley with its warmth, storytelling, and strong sense of place. This exhibition marks an exciting milestone in her artistic journey, bringing together a collection of paintings that celebrate the people, experiences, and landscapes that have shaped her life and practice.
