The Broome Marlin Cup Fishing Competition will be held in Broome from 3rd - 7th September 2026. Broome is growing in the Marlin fishery - join us to see what it's all about! For all boat sizes and all ages. Broome Marlin Cup schedule: 3rd of September is compulsory briefing night, 4th is a layover day, 5th and 6th are normal fishing days, 7th is presentation night. The story of 'Millie the Black Kite' is based on the story of a famous Broome bird who accidently hitched a ride to Bali. This beautiful, interactive puppet performance is the result of a collaboration between a Broome and Indonesian puppet companies. The story is told using a multitude of puppets. The story is a reflection on the impact of human intervention in the lives of animals, the importance of understanding the needs of wildlife in a changing world, a call for humanity and understanding, and what it means to be free. It is suitable for all ages, but children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. BUY TICKETS. All tickets include a free Puppet Workshop an hour prior to the show commencing.
