Come along to life drawing session at Kimberley Arts Network. KAN's regular Life Drawing sessions are open to everyone. Whether you're a practicing artist, or someone who just wants to improve your observational and sketching skills... KAN offers a welcoming and creative space for everyone. The Staircase to the Moon is a natural phenomenon observed in Broome Western Australia between April and October only. It is caused by the rising of a full moon reflecting on the exposed mudflats at extremely low tide creating a beautiful optical illusion of a staircase reaching up to the moon.

Established in 1970, the Kimberley Art and Photographic Prize (KAPP) is one of Australia's most remote art competitions and one of the longest running Art Prizes in Western Australia. Originally facilitated by the Shire of Derby/West Kimberley (SDWK) as the Kimberley Art Prize, it was launched to showcase the artistic talent of residents from the Kimberley region. Over the years, KAPP has evolved into a major cultural event, attracting both emerging and established artists from across the country.
