Chase the Ace is back again this Friday at the Broome RSL! To enter, simply purchase a beer, wine or spirited beverage and you'll be issued with a ticket (only issued between 4:30pm and 6:30pm, t&cs apply), drawn just after 7pm (along with Members draw and the $100’s club). T&Cs apply for Chase the Ace. Members must be present to win the Member’s Draw. Guests and Non-members welcome!! Kitchen open from 5.30pm. We are family friendly. Guests and visitors welcome. Chinatown Feast is returning to take over the heart of Chinatown! The Chinatown Feast, presented by Horizontal Falls Seaplane Adventures, is our starlit Hawker-style dining event with a Kimberley twist. Held in the heart of Chinatown Broome, on Short St. Tantalise your taste-buds with a selection of dishes from Broome’s finest food vendors, while roving performers & live musicians entertain you throughout the evening. A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you! Town Beach parkrun is a FREE weekly 5k event for participants of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 7:00am in Town Beach precinct.90 Robinson St, Broome, WA 6725.

A festival favourite, the Shinju Matsuri Dragon Boat Races bring the ancient Chinese tradition of dragon boating to the turquoise waters of Broome’s Town Beach. With origins dating back more than 2,000 years, dragon boat racing began as a cultural ceremony in China to honour ancestors, celebrate community, and mark the changing of the seasons. Today, it is recognised worldwide as both a sport and a vibrant cultural celebration. Saturday 29th August from 8am - 2pm at Town Beach. In Broome, the races honour this heritage while adding our own local festival spirit. Teams of 18 paddle fiercely over a 200m course — with 16 paddlers, one steer-person, and a drummer setting the rhythm to keep the boat in perfect unison. The beating drum, the splash of paddles, and the cheering crowd make for an exhilarating spectacle on the bay. Join us at Town Beach to witness this thrilling mix of culture, competition, and community — a true celebration of Shinju Matsuri’s multicultural heart. The Broome Courthouse Markets are held in the beautiful heritage listed gardens of the Broome Courthouse. Trading every Saturday all year, and Sundays during high season. The Broome Courthouse Markets are located on the corner of Frederick and Hamersley Street.

REGIONAL EVENT! Mowanjum Festival 2026. Each year, the Mowanjum Arts Centre hosts this unique celebration of the vibrant, living culture of the Woddorda, Ngarinyin and Wunambal peoples. Through the sharing of Junba (traditional dance), music, singing and storytelling, this festival has attracted thousands of national and international visitors, travelling to witness and take part in Western Australia’s largest open-access cultural celebration. Performers hail from the three tribes of the Mowanjum community as well as those from over the Kimberley and NT regions. Saturday 29 August 2026 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Tickets on sale now. Drumming Workshop with Taiko On. Join us for a free Taiko Drumming Workshop and experience the energy, rhythm, and excitement of Japanese drumming. Following the release of her debut album Phases, Stellar Moon is currently recording her second album.
