The 2025 Broome Fringe Festival kicks off the busy dry season when the easterly winds and clear blue skies signify the arrival of Barrgana season in the Yawuru calendar. Broome comes alive in the dry season and the Fringe Festival hosts a diverse range of exhibitions, performances, an open studio Art Trail and other activities that invite you to get involved with our vibrant creative community.

Burnarri Anja (this bird here) Exhibition at Redbill Studio Gallery. This is a very special solo exhibition coming up in the gallery by Mildred Mungulu. Please join us for opening night on Saturday 17th of May from 5pm - 7pm. The exhibition will be on in the gallery from 17th - 29th May 2025. Please RSVP for opening night to [email protected]

Sunset drinks is on at Cable Beach every Monday to Saturday from 4pm-6pm. Come unwind, watch the sun set into the ocean, and have a cocktail with us!

Join the Shire of Broome at Guwarri Town Beach for a special Reconciliation Week at the Night Markets on Thursday 29 May. The evening will begin at 4pm with live music from Yawuru and Nyul-Nyul artist Jacob Gregory, followed by a smoking ceremony led by Yawuru Elder Di Appleby at 4.45pm, formal proceedings, and a Welcome to Country. Enjoy performances by the Family Shoveller Band and a traditional Burrb Wangarraju Nurlu performance, alongside local market stalls, food vans, and a welcoming community atmosphere.
