Carnival of Nations, is a much loved Shinju Matsuri event. Join us for a celebration of diversity and culture via a series of unique immersive performances & cultural displays. This August, we're welcoming one of WA's most soulful storytellers - Margaret River singer-songwriter Brett Wilson. With 28 years of writing behind him, Brett brings a sound that's hard to pin down and impossible to forget - folk, reggae, gypsy grooves, and a voice with that unmistakable Dylanesque edge. He writes from a converted dairy on Cave's Road, surfs when he's not strumming, and fronts the gypsy ska band Freeway South when the mood strikes. This August, Brett's making his way up the WA coast on a mission to share his music. Catch him on the Bay Club lawns as the sun melts into Roebuck Bay - it's a set you won't want to miss. Bring your crew, grab a cold drink, and let the weekend begin.

The Broome Courthouse Markets are held in the beautiful heritage listed gardens of the Broome Courthouse. Trading every Saturday all year and Sundays during high season. The Broome Courthouse Markets are located on the corner of Frederick and Hamersley Street.

The Floating Lanterns is a free community event. One of the most beautiful moments of the festival. Inspired by the Japanese Obon celebration, this ceremony honours loved ones with lanterns drifting on the waters. Held at Gantheaume Beach, this special evening is a tribute to loved ones past and present. Create a personalised lantern, gently release your lantern into the sea and take a moment to reflect.

The Staircase to the Moon is a natural phenomenon observed in Broome Western Australia between April and October only. It is caused by the rising of a full moon reflecting on the exposed mudflats at extremely low tide creating a beautiful optical illusion of a staircase reaching up to the moon.

The Broome Marlin Cup Fishing Competition will be held in Broome from 3rd - 7th September 2026. Broome is growing in the Marlin fishery - join us to see what it's all about! For all boat sizes and all ages. Broome Marlin Cup schedule: 3rd of September is compulsory briefing night, 4th is a layover day, 5th and 6th are normal fishing days, 7th is presentation night.
