A free, fun, and friendly weekly 5k community event. Walk, jog, run, volunteer or spectate – it's up to you! Town Beach parkrun is a FREE weekly 5k event for participants of all standards, which takes place every Saturday at 7:00am in Town Beach precinct.90 Robinson St, Broome, WA 6725.

The Broome Courthouse Markets are held in the beautiful heritage listed gardens of the Broome Courthouse. Trading every Saturday all year, and Sundays during high season. The Broome Courthouse Markets are located on the corner of Frederick and Hamersley Street.

REGIONAL EVENT! Mowanjum Festival 2026. Each year, the Mowanjum Arts Centre hosts this unique celebration of the vibrant, living culture of the Woddorda, Ngarinyin and Wunambal peoples. Through the sharing of Junba (traditional dance), music, singing and storytelling, this festival has attracted thousands of national and international visitors, travelling to witness and take part in Western Australia’s largest open-access cultural celebration. Performers hail from the three tribes of the Mowanjum community as well as those from over the Kimberley and NT regions. Saturday 29 August 2026 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM. Tickets on sale now. The Floating Lanterns is a free community event. One of the most beautiful moments of the festival. Inspired by the Japanese Obon celebration, this ceremony honours loved ones with lanterns drifting on the waters. Held at Gantheaume Beach, this special evening is a tribute to loved ones past and present. Create a personalised lantern, gently release your lantern into the sea and take a moment to reflect.

The Staircase to the Moon is a natural phenomenon observed in Broome Western Australia between April and October only. It is caused by the rising of a full moon reflecting on the exposed mudflats at extremely low tide creating a beautiful optical illusion of a staircase reaching up to the moon.
