Returning to Town Beach, the Festival Finale is a dazzling evening of performances. Get your friends & family together, grab a selection of tasty dishes from our Festival Finale Food Markets & enjoy an evening picnic by Roebuck Bay as we farewell Sammy the Dragon for another year. The Broome International Airport & Shire of Broome Shinju Matsuri Drone Show will conclude the finale. Join us for a soul-stirring, joy-filled farewell at Town Beach. The Staircase to the Moon is a natural phenomenon observed in Broome Western Australia between April and October only. It is caused by the rising of a full moon reflecting on the exposed mudflats at extremely low tide creating a beautiful optical illusion of a staircase reaching up to the moon.
